When a project becomes a pursuit

212 Buck Rd Harrison, Maine

BUCK HOUSE + HOLD is the aggregation of dynamic and diverse interests. It started as a renovation project, focused on the design and building of this rural retreat — complete with schedules and linear timelines. But we threw out the rule book and asked ourselves what lights us up, what fills our cup? Ultimately, we wanted authenticity and joy in our pursuits, and we opened ourselves up to however that would manifest itself. Merging our backgrounds, interests, talents and desires to always be learning, we found our pursuit — our path. What formed is this: an online and offline place for ALL who want to come together and explore the convergence of well-being, art, literature, music, and design — to gather and have true, mindful and meaningful experiences.

Being at Buck House

Buck House is a 200 year old farm house set in peaceful, rural Maine. The HOUSE is a physical portal of transformation and rejuvenation — trust us, she’s going through a complete overhaul! She’s old, but all that means is there’s a lot of soul in these walls. She is not a hotel or a resort, but that’s what makes her so special and unique — she’s a home. Buck House hosts in-person well-being retreats that invite you to just be; be with yourself or with community, be moving or be still, be in nature, be present in the moment, be silly, be sacred, be human…just be you!

A house is a body, it holds what you love

HOLD is a creative digital container for story telling, self study, and wisdom shared with an inspiring community of really cool humans. It is a virtual place, house, or home that holds what you love. HOLD can be your digital kitchen table to share stories and laughs with a community, or a virtual backyard to simply take some deep breaths and meditate on your day. We have curated and collected digital experiences and exercises to give you a place to be present, to be here, and to be you: merging body, mind and spirit.

We fully believe that when cool humans come together, cool things happen. Whether that be the generation of a new idea, a new friendship or partnership, that last inspirational push to start or finish a project, the pleasure of appreciating your fellow human’s successes, or simply letting yourself be and rest, all while surrounded by people who only want good for you. We also believe that joining together with intentions to be kind and with a vulnerability necessary to learn and grow, we will only improve the well-being of us as individuals, as well as our community as a whole.
